This downtown loft needed a facelift to modernize it while respecting the historic character of the building. We chose to feature the appealing exposed brick walls, plumbing, and fir beams. The cabinets now have contemporary slab doors in natural flat-sliced walnut. We brightened the space with a lighter countertop. With storage at a premium, we added built-ins and a home office just off the kitchen space.
